For people who need help evacuating ahead of a hurricane, there are resources available. Residents of Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco counties can register for their county's special needs program. Kevin Guthrie, the director of Florida’s Division of Emergency Management, says in addition to the county-specific resources, residents throughout the state can call 800-729-3413 with questions about evacuation orders or for assistance getting out.
